About the Home Owner's Manual
interior-lookThis publication was developed to provide a warranty which provides protection for the consumer and the contractor whereas it takes the guesswork out of who is liable for what in terms of the Limited Warranty coverage. It explains in detail the expectations of performance. In addition it tells about required maintenance of a home, safety practices, how certain products function and how to use them along with detailed instruction for the maintenance schedule. This publication should go hand in hand with every construction contract with an individual copy given to every homeowner of whom you construct a new home, do a remodel or home addition, to be an integral part of their project so they can enjoy the benefits of its contents, and the contractor may be assured there are no questions of accountability. There are two signature pages in the manual for the contractor and the owner to sign. The contractor should insert his name and the termination time on the Limited Warranty. The page titled "Contractor Copy" should be signed, then removed and retained by the contractor for his records. The same holds true for the "Final Walk Through". The homeowner should keep this manual for future reference.
